PRENATAL YOGA


Namaste 

We offer yoga classes specifically for moms-to-be with all of the modifications necessary to be safe yet effective.  Taught by a Yoga Teacher with two certifications in Prenatal Yoga, these classes are geared towards strengthening the childbirth muscles along with relieving some of the aches and pains that come along with pregnancy.  Sciatica, round ligament pain, sacroiliac joint pain, carpal tunnel and many more pregnancy issues are helped by gentle stretching and breathing. 


Another benefit of the prenatal classes is the opportunity to meet other expectant moms and create community.  Support is key during and after pregnancy! 


New to yoga?  Not a problem.  Expecting twins?  You can benefit from yoga too.  Contact us for more information or to register for classes.


CURRENT SCHEDULE:  Sundays at 9 am, Mondays at 5:30 pm, Tuesdays at 6 pm & Wednesdays at 7 pm. 


THIS CLASS IS FOR EXPECTANT MOMS ONLY   

MIXED level yoga

Taught in the Kripalu-style, Mixed Level Yoga is for beginners on up to seasoned yogis.  This class is a bit more challenging and moves in a flow but can easily be adapted to someone just starting out with their yoga practice. 


Offered on Thursdays at 5:30 pm by Penny Prowell, Certified Yoga Teacher and genuinely nice person.  For more information or to join the class, please contact Penny directly at 203-923-3371.


MEN AND WOMEN WELCOME AT THIS CLASS.

Mother's Embrace offers two Gentle Hatha Yoga classes each week and these classes are geared towards beginners or new moms working their way back into physical activity.  This class is also great for menopausal women, as well as those dealing with arthritis. 


These classes also include the use of accessories, such as chairs, light arm weights and yoga balls. 


If interested in joining the Gentle Hatha classes, please call or text us to check on space in the class of your choice. 


CURRENT SCHEDULE:  Mondays at 7 pm and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm.
